Social Media Coordinator
Purpose of the Position
- Ensure there is consistent and engaging communication with the community through social media. And provide consistent positive representation of the project.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Assist with managing the Facebook and Nextdoor accounts.
- Monitoring FB & Nextdoor accounts.
- Assist in keeping the community engaged in the project.
- Work with the other volunteers to provide status updates
Qualifications
- Ability to navigate social media platforms.
- Ability to manage conflict, provide upbeat status updates and encourage discussion/engagement
- Work well with other volunteers, i.e. graphics designer
Commitment Expected
- 2-4 hrs/week

Volunteer Coordinator

Purpose of the Position
- Assist with coordinating volunteer efforts for donation pick up and drop off trips, community outreach and sorting parties.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide instructions to the volunteers for any specific project tasks, that will be provided by the Executive Director.
- Work with the volunteers to align trips, effort and answer questions regarding the tasks.
- Relay questions and concerns to the Executive Director, including any requests for information and troubleshooting issues.
- Remain flexible while volunteer opportunities, due to volunteer availability changes.
Qualifications
- Ability to work well with others.
- Communicate clearly, effectively and able to track communications via text, email and in person.
- Ability to ask for assistance and communicate effectively if issues arise or if there are conflicts that need to be addressed by the Executive Director.
Commitment Expected
- 2-4 hrs/week

Event Coordinator III
Purpose of the Position
- Beloveds Foundation is recruiting an Event Coordinator to assist us with managing the administrative tasks around our volunteer support.
- This role will also include some light recruiting, screening and general management.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Report issues to the Executive Director, preferably with options on resolutions and a clear understanding of the concerns and their respective impact
- Make phone calls and send emails requesting donations from local businesses for event purposes (i.e. food)
- Work with the Event Coordinator to clarify volunteer needs and engage the appropriate volunteer for each of the engagements.
- Work directly with volunteers to schedule support for ongoing activities and events

- This role does not require personnel management professional experience, just a willingness to learn

Inventory Management Specialist
Purpose of the Position
- Assist in creating simple digital art.
- Help us define processes for inventory management,
- Provide suggestions for use of our chosen inventory software
- Help to provide solutions for any possible challenges.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Designing and implementing an inventory tracking system for optimized inventory control procedures
- Examine the levels of materials and supplies to determine shortages and projected needs
- Document shipments and deliveries to replenish inventory
- Create reports for adjustments, inventory operations and stock levels
- Evaluating new inventory, ensuring it’s ready to ship
- Analyze various donor shipments to ensure Beloveds is receiving all donated items and these usable and quality items

- This role does not require Inventory Management professional experience, just a willingness to learn

Donation Sorter / Inventory Specialist

- West Seattle/Future Satellite Locations
Purpose of the Position
- Assist with sorting donations as they come into the storage spaces either based in West Seattle or (future) remote sites in Bothell and Puyallup areas.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Be able to sort large amount of donations by size, purpose and other qualities.
- Eye for detail to ensure small items, are categorized and tracked appropriately.
- Ability to work within a spreadsheet or other database type tool to track the inventory of donations.
Qualifications
- Ability to communicate clearly, effectively and with enthusiasm.
- Ability to manage conflict and negotiate difficult conversations, as the public might have challenging questions.
- Be proactive to reach out local businesses, news outlets and other organizations, to request support and/or share updates on the project.
Commitment Expected
- 2-4 hrs/month

Donation Driver

Work Location

Purpose of the Position
- Drive to donation pick up locations and/or drop off locations around the greater Seattle area.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Coordinate with the Volunteer Coordinator or Executive Director, to pick up and/or drop off donations at food banks, rescues, community outreach organizations and feral cat colony caretakers.
- Be kind and courteous with everyone associated with these trips.
- Be able to lift 25lbs.
- Have access to a vehicle that can has cargo space (SUV, cross over, truck, or mini-van)
- Be fully licenses and insured, as required by law in Washington State
- Ability to work within a spreadsheet or other database type tool to track the inventory of donations.

- Ability to communicate clearly, effectively and with enthusiasm.
- Ability to manage conflict and negotiate difficult conversations, as the public might have challenging questions.

Buy Nothing / Community Donation Collector

Purpose of the Position
- Collect pet donations in the Volunteer’s area
Responsibilities and Duties
- Search the Volunteer’s local Buy Nothing and other “Free” groups for donations
- Request the items and confirm that the items are earmarked for Beloveds
- Organize pick up of the items on a weekly basis or as it fits the Volunteer’s schedule
Qualifications
- Ability to communicate clearly, effectively and with enthusiasm.
- Access to a vehicle to pick up donations
- Storage to collect a small amount of donations over week a more
- Able to navigate using GPS
Commitment Expected
- 1-8 hrs/month, tbd on the Volunteer’s schedule
Training
- A process for searching, collecting and storing donations will be provided, but is customizable by the Volunteer

Grant Writer
Purpose of the Position
- Assist with writing grants to help support our organization and drive increases fundraising so we can further our distribution network and services.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Complete duties as assigned;
- Report issues to the Executive Director, preferably with options on resolutions and a clear understanding of the concerns and their respective impact
- Persuasively communicate the organization’s mission to potential funders.
- Research public/private, corporate, foundation and individual funding sources.
- Able to work independently, possessing strong research and writing skills
- Work with Executive Director to identify program(s) needs and funding goals.
- Prioritize to meet multiple or ongoing deadlines.
